Building the Builder

gcc-4.8.0 has been officially released! But I require to first build the complete package so as I be able to be build packages which require g++ and FORTRAN. Although mint’s pre-installed gcc should have worked, it seems the g++ version required for Octave is more demanding. Since the network admin has seriously screwed up linux PC’s port–no DHCP glow on it any more–building gcc is the only way left… such is the life! 5.30 AM, kubuntu 13.04 beta 2 written on disk, would read gcc.org’s tutorial while kubuntu replaced edubuntu 12.10.. and probably in two hours, will get to go home and pass-out!
